February 2026
Welcome to the newsletter
Welcome to the first installment of the newsletter! Let's talk about creating the newsletter, buying a Steam Deck, ADHD and PreMiD.

Creation of the newsletter
An email newsletter is something I've always wanted to make, ever since the site's creation, so it's a great pleasure to finally be creating that original vision in a way that's easy to do thanks to the modern fridg3.org's design and capabilities.
As I've explained before, you can hear about my personal updates, as well as what's going on with the website. I've got a few things to cover for this month, so let's get started!

I bought a Steam Deck
It took a while to convince myself to do this, but it's something I've secretly wanted to do since its release. I remember hearing about its release and talking about whether or not I'd like it for Christmas or a PC with my friend Vee.
A journal post will be coming out about it once I get it in the post. Stay tuned!

ADHD
On the 24th February, I was diagnosed with ADHD by my doctor. Awesome! The process was very quick thanks to the UK's referral system and right to choose, I only started this process around the 4th Feb!
I'll be going down a medication route, which is quite exciting. I might finally be the functional person I make myself out to be.

Website Changes
As I've mentioned, I've made a mailing list you can subscribe to for a new newsletter, and there's a page on the website for viewing all previous ones for those who want to stay updated, but don't want emails for whatever reason.
There's also an on-site generator for the contents of the newsletter for my personal use! It allows me to add sections and preview what the final thing will look like, because for this thing to work on emails, we have to write the styling inline (so each line contains information on how its styled).
This is naturally less modular than the website's styling itself, so I've settled with an automatic HTML code generator that contains all the styling, and automatically adds elements for me instead of me needing to code each newsletter post manually. Prevents me from accidentally making mistakes and such.

PreMiD
Do you use PreMiD like myself? Great news, there's a new activity coming out for fridg3.org!
For those unfamiliar, PreMiD is a platform that lets you show what you're doing on your browser as a Discord status. I've developed an activity for fridg3.org that supports showing which journal/feed/newsletter post you're viewing, as well as showing which song you're listening to if you're on the Music page.
Check it out if you use the platform!
